Ride Length

Dear J—

At some point or another you will buy donuts for someone. It could be a group of people, it could be your coworkers, it could be your kids or family. There are an infinite number of possibilities for who you want to target to receive your donuts. No one says they eat donuts, but then they take them when they’re offered. No one, eventually, says no to donuts, unless they’re needlessly cruel or sociopaths. Did you know that 50% of all statistics are made up on the spot?

All kidding aside, I always like June 30th as it’s the anniversary of when I started a journal in the wake of the shoes-in-the-tree incident almost thirty years ago. Find some way to celebrate it by buying donuts for someone: spread kindness and cheer throughout the world, if you have a choice, right?
