The sun is now coming up around 0500 here; you can see the glow on the horizon as you make the switchbacks on the Monte Diablo pedestrian bridge which either makes me think I should be getting up earlier or man, doesn’t it seem like it’s pretty early this year? It’s nearly broad daylight by the time I get to Sunnyvale and on the road. We had a very nice Monday in the City, walking around and up and down hills, though we did not, as we had hoped, get to eat any egg tarts.
How spread out is San Mateo compared with San Francisco? The yards could seem like comfortable extravagances, and the houses like relative mansions, I guess. I see new ones going up sized and shaped like they might be multiple units, or perhaps just preparing for the inevitable day to build denser, not wider.
