Dear J-
Today, as with most other weekend days, revolved around one planned activity and killing time in between; today’s activity was hitting up the Moon Festival at the <a href=""http://www.houseofchinasd.com/"House of China in Balboa Park. It is a big holiday, and I vaguely understand the reasoning behind it, but I missed out on what I think is the most important part — gorging on moon cake before and after — so I’m a little sad it’ll take another year before we can get our hands on more moon cakes.
Midway through the celebration they broke out father and son tenors, singing O Solo Mio (the father explaining that the son was his sun) and I wonder where the next thirty years will take us, or if they’ll follow my example in falling out of touch with everyone.
Mike
