One of theVet’s friends is getting married in February so her mom threw her a bridal shower. Like the wedding invitation we later got there’s a small note asking for adults only. Sure, there are times that I miss adult company and adult films (you know, not “adult” films but ones that don’t necessarily have talking animals) but parties aren’t one, and weddings aren’t another. I understand the impulse not to have kids come — they get bored easily, whine, and distract but I still think I got the better end of the deal today, getting to hang out in the sun with so many smiles.
