This is why I go on audit trips: seconds after telling us possibly the most depressing story about his father’s passing, Mike had us howling with laughter. There’s something magnetic about his personality — he said that five minutes after walking in, he can charm anyone and I believe it. Yes it’s work, and traveling for work is never going to beat traveling for yourself, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t have fun along the way too. Mike’s got stories for every occasion and lives courageously, unafraid of laughing at himself so by extension you’ve got to be able to laugh at yourself and the dour places you fit yourself into never work out quite right.
I can’t believe we’ve finished two days already.
